11 Riders from Somer Valley Wheels wore red on Friday 26th in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Although the morning started of rainy it soon cleared up and the sun broke through the clouds and warmed the back of the cyclists. The ride was along the Colliers Way from Radstock to Great Elm and on to Mells to stop off at the local shop and post office. From there some took the long way back via Vobster Cross and Newbury whilst some the remainder got there feet wet cycling through the floods to get back on to the colliers way to Radstock. Final donations will still have to be calculated but were thought to be around £40.
